You were "High Tech". When I worked at a gas station and had to do the books we used a crank type. Multiply was tedious. 52 X 43 you would enter 52 and pull handle three times, then enter 520 pull handle four times. Ahhhhh! The good old days! LOL
I used an adding machine at my first desk job. Electric, not electronic, mind you. They made quite a bit of noise, especially in an office setting with several people using them.
