"Dondi"never became a tv series(although..NYC based kids tv clown:Chuck McCann did perform a series of skits..spoofing the character on his sunday morning comedy/variety kids tv show"Let's Have Fun!"on WPIX TV Ch.11 in NYC in the early 1960's).."Dondi"did become a movie starring:David Kory,David Jansen,Robert Strauss,Arnold Stang and Mickey Shaunessy.

I can still remember the promo they played when it was about to become a TV show. "Here is coming me Dondi."

I met the artist who used to draw Dondi. A nice old codger, he still does Comic - cons...
