Oh yes....the Boys Club insisted you swam nude.And! You took a shower BEFORE you went into the pool and lined up against the wall for "inspection" which included bottoms of feet...and the crack of your doopa.

Yup, boys swam nude. No reason was ever given to us, it was just the way it was. Older and wiser today, I surmise there was only one reason . . .

Yes, I remember the boys swam nude and the girls had swimsuits. I always thought it was a little strange,but that's the way things were done in those days.

Did anyone else in Junior High have swim class and boys swam nude? We did at Owosso Junior High in Owosso Michigan in the early 70's. Half the week we had gym and the other half swimming. The girls were provided swimsuits (they were not permitted to bring their own) and boys swam nude. Of course, coed gym did not occur in Michigan until after 1980 after I graduated.

Mine was white with pinstripes and we called it our gymsuit.

MY MOTHER MADE MINE IN BRIGHT RED WHILE ALL THE OTHER GIRLS HAD BOUGHT WHITE ONES..... TALK ABOUT STICKING OUT......

Mine looked like that, but was a pale blue. Thank God I only had to wear it in 7th, 8th and 9th grade...
