Much of this was thinly veiled satire disguised as a kids show.

I never cared for Dudley Do-Right until I was in Army basic training and I had a drill sergeant named Dudley, who was his spitting image. He even talked similarly (can you imagine Dudley Do-Right shouting at Army recruits: "Drop and give me 25, trainee!"?) The smokey bear hat drill instructors wear isn't much different from what the Mounties wear...

@freddo30 - I never cared much for Dudly either. As I grew older and wiser, i realized why Nell loved the horse. LOL

I loved all of them except Fractured Fairy Tales and Dudley and Snidely were also among my favorites!

The absolute greatest cartoon ever; perhaps the greatest tv show of any kind ever. This was no kid show. The literary allusions, the political references, all were great and very intelligent. I miss this show.

More adult oriented than you would expect. A timeless classic. Never, ever, missed R&B

I loved all the clever puns. These shows are available on DVD, and if you have kids (or even if you don't) I highly recommend them.
