Also seen on this series was WABD/WNEW TV Ch.5 NYC's vetrain announcer and host:Fred Scott..who appeared on "Capt.Video" as "Video Ranger Tom Rogers"who introduced the reruns of classic movie westerns and served as the show's announcer.

Probably my first "Online" purchase was sending in a dollar and some cereal boxtops to get an official Captain Video space helmet. Anxiously awaiting the mail delivery every day, it finally arrived. I remember being such an excited 7 year-old that I tore open the package and immediately put it on only to discover that it had an elastic band that went under my chin which hurt badly since I had contracted the mumps a day earlier.

Did not get to see the early SF shows as they were not televised in my area...we did not get television until the mid-50s!

Some how I missed this show.I loved science fiction even when I was a kid.I am going have look this one up.Will get back to this page after I do.
