Never really thought that after having gotten accustomed to jumbo jets there was much difference between a 747 and a 707 until I took a 12 hour international flight and I had to use the lavatory before meals were served. This was a super crowded 707. When I got back to my seat meals had already been served and no one was going to get out of their seats so I could go to my place next to the window. It was suggested I find another seat, only this plane was fully booked. No empty seats. But there were four empty crew seats, only they were facing backwards. A flight attendant told me even they get motion sickness facing the wrong way. But I don't! So I asked if I could use an empty crew seat and they said sure. They hadn't got to that part of the plane with their serving yet, so it was no inconvenience for anyone. Not even me because those flight attendants were sure pretty girls.
