Would you believe my dad took the whole family to see this. I was 17 and my brother was 14. The ticket lady asked him if he realized it was rated "R" and had a lot of bad language. My dad's reply was that he figured we wouldn't hear anything we hadn't already heard.

My buddy who saw this with me loved it, I did not. He later committed suicide, I hope it was painless.

One other actor from the movie recreated his role on TV for at least one or two episodes early on: G. Wood as General Hammond. Later replaced.

Gary Burghoff was the only actor from the movie to also appear in the TV series, and in the same role (Radar O'Reilly).

Hey NerdyLady. I just noticed your comment while looking for questions about M*A*S*H. The dentist was called the "Painless Pole". Captain Waldowski was Polish.
Also, did you ever get all of the lyrics?

I believe that the lyrics were written by a teen-aged boy. Good job!

"Suicide is painless,
It brings on many changes,
But you can take or leave it if you try."

That's the only part I know!

This is a classic, along with the tv series! Will never forget the dentist, Painless Paul! Sealed
